Trains run to London Paddington station from West Drayton Station regularly.

For trains from London Paddington out to West Drayton take a train towards Reading, Radley, Oxford, or Slough, make sure you don’t get a train to the similar named station ‘Drayton Green’!

To get to Oakwood Bed and Breakfast from West Drayton train station:

  • Leave from the back exit of the station, turn left at the bottom of the stairs (not through the main front of the station), walk into Warwick Road and turn right at the end, to walk past the ‘Gentleman’s Barber’ Shop.
  • Turn left into Station Road, opposite the ‘Red Wine Cellar Co’, walk along past ‘Positano’ restaurant then a car park and Dominos’ on the left, walk over Brandville Road then we are on the left before the Six Bells pub.

 

Trains From West Drayton into London Paddington Station

It’s the same journey back from us:

 

  • Turn right out of Oakwood, along Station Road, past the Spar, turning right into Warwick Road at the National Rail sign for West Drayton station.
  • This takes you into the back of the station: you will have to walk through the corridor up the steps to get to the Ticket Office at the other side
  • Trains to London Paddington leave from Platform 4, or 2 on weekends, around 4 an hour Monday-Saturday, 2 an hour on Sunday.
    In Paddington, follow London Underground signs, crossing the station for the Bakerloo line (brown), or near where your train comes in for Hammersmith and City line (pink and yellow).

West Drayton National Rail & London Underground Zones

West Drayton station is served by National Rail overland trains, but also just inside London Underground Zone 6 so you can use Oyster Cards into London.

National Rail Ticket into London from Station Ticket Office:

 

  • You can buy a Off-Peak Day Return, National Rail ticket for £8.90, with no restrictions on return times, and works as a Travelcard on tubes, buses, etc, you can pay by card at the station
  • West Drayton Train Station office opening hours are as follows:

 

Monday – Saturday 06:30 – 20:24
Sunday 08:10 – 15:30

Oyster Card or One Day Travelcard:

 

  • Oyster or one-day Travelcard covers Tubes, Buses, Overland within Zones
  • Travelcard prices for Zone 6-1, Off-peak, after 9.30, are £8.90, at May ’14
  • Before 9.30 AM it’s On-Peak; after it’s an Anytime Travelcard which costs £17
  • If you travel on Oyster to London, swipe in, and same charges will applyWhere to buy or Top Up Oyster cards
  • You can’t buy or charge Oystercards at Ticket Office, as it’s National Rail
  • To buy an Oyster Card or top it up, go to the nearby Newsagents here:
  • Premier with a purple sign on a yellow background sells Oyster Cards: 111, Station Road:
    There is also FJ Off License on the corner of Warwick road and Station Road that does Oyster Cards:
    And on other side of the station if you come into the front entrance on Station Approach road, West Drayton Grocers and News, serves Oyster Cards:
