On returning from our recent holiday to Australia my wife and I would like to convey our thanks to you for the efficient service you provided prior to our journey. Also for sending me the information and text messages, regarding the Taxis and re-entry to retrieve the car, which I received on my return. All of which contributed towards a wonderful holiday where everything went without a hitch.

I will have no hesitation in recommending you to family and friends, well done.

Thanks again.

Roy & Carole Rogers, Milton Keynes March, 2010

Stayed here for one night to attend a family get-together. Can’t fault it.

We were beautifully taken care of by our hostess, Patricia, and her sidekick, Tracey. Rooms were comfy warm and clean/ Breakfast was lovely and we all enjoyed the whole experience (7 of us altogether).

We hope to be going back soon as now we have found this little gem( just 25 mins by train to London).

Having travelled a minimum of 35 countries and stayed in approximately 150 hotels, I have never received the same level of personal service as in Oakwood B & B, Heathrow and I mean even better than high-end hotels! Very impressed!
Kari Kanero, Costa Rica/ Finland 27/05/09

I needed a cheap option close to Heathrow for a 24 hour layover. All the other hotels (close to the airport) are way too expensive…and many, although close to Heathrow have NOTHING nearby…nothing to walk to, etc. You might as well be in Kansas. The Oakwood is a great option. It offers basic but charming accomodation at the most competive price. I spent hours online trying not to pay over $300 a night. The other budget options are too far away, or have horrible reviews. The Oakwood had good reviews and a very reasonable price (I paid around $110 USD)The Oakwood is a $14 (7pounds or so) cab ride from Heathrow (a bit more expensive for Terminal 4 or 5)…Note: there are no free shuttles from the airport (like in the States)…so you will pay no matter what…no matter where you go.The Oakwood is so close to the airport, but not in the flight path. It is situated in a charming little suburb…within 5 minutes walking distance there are great restaurants, grocery stores, pubs and the train into central London. There is even a post office to change your currency at no charge, parks, a thrift shop, even a hardware store. The owners of the Inn know everything, they care about your stay and they are very friendly and helpful. They did everything to make my layover in London perfect. Don’t expect fancy rooms but they are clean.

The great location, amazing service and unbeatable price make this a go-to destination for budget travelers who need a great location close to Heathrow. Did I mention the good, HEARTY English breakfast that is INCLUDED?
