From West Drayton to Paddington Station.
It is only an 8 minute walk to West Drayton station from the B & B.
Turn right out of guest house, cross over Brandville Road, walk past 2 small Indian restaurants on your left, past Spar supermarket, and walk straight on until you see the Railway bridge over the street. Walk underneath bridge, and turn right at “De Burgh Arms” pub, with Barclays Bank on the opposite corner.
Buy an off-peak Travel Card after 9.30 a m mid-week (any time at weekends), for approx £7.00 - to cover all London buses, trains and underground journeys, or use an Oyster Card. Turn left, walk down stairs and up some more steps for London trains - 4 trains per hour mid-week, journey time 25 mins.
At Paddington, follow the Underground signs, cross over the station to the right and go down the Escalator for Bakerloo (brown) tube line to Oxford Circus, etc.
Taxi Rank is outside Paddington station – to the right-hand side.
Exellent London Tourist Buses leave constantly, from outside Madame Tussauds Museum, Marylebone Road, near Baker Street Station.
To return to West Drayton by Train:
take a Thames Train, towards Reading, Oxford or Slough, normally from Platform 13 or 14, on far right-hand side of Paddington Station. Please be sure check the Platform Screens carefully before boarding your train to West Drayton!
Back Exit from West Drayton Station:
If you leave West Drayton Station by the Back exit, walk straight ahead into Warwick Road for a short way and bear right toward the “Gentlemen’s Barber” shop. Turn left at the corner into Station Road, by “Flowers by Ellisa” – opposite red Wine Cellar Co, and you will then soon come to the Spar Supermarket, etc and then the B & B on the left, just before the “Six Bells” Pub and the Texaco Garage.
